What this site is

Shershah Scrap publishes scrap rate information and market activity for Karachi's Shershah Kabari Market, and runs a public board where buyers and sellers post what they want or have. We are not a party to any transaction between users, and we take no fee or commission on any deal made through this site or through contacting a shop listed here.

Rates are estimates, not guarantees

Scrap prices vary by grade, quantity, buyer relationship, and negotiation. Two dealers a few shops apart can quote different numbers for the same material on the same day. Every rate shown here, whether entered by us, reported by a visitor, or pulled automatically from other rate-tracking sources, is an estimate of a range. It is not a fixed price, and it is not a quote for any specific shop or transaction. We make no warranty of any kind about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any rate on this site. Confirm a price with the actual buyer or seller before relying on it.

Some rate data comes from other sources

A portion of the rate data here is pulled automatically from other publicly available Pakistani scrap-rate websites, since no formal market-data provider covers this kind of pricing. We don't control or independently verify that data and aren't responsible for errors in it. Which materials this applies to, and how, is on our methodology page.

Content you submit

Anything you post here, a board listing, a voice note, a photo, a rate report, a shop claim, has to be yours to post. Submitting it tells us you have the right to share it and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights. If you're not sure you have that right, don't post it.

We can remove anything, at any time

We may remove, edit, reject, or decline to publish any post, rate report, shop listing, photo, or other content at our discretion. That includes anything we suspect infringes someone else's rights, anything we believe is false, and anything that simply doesn't fit the site. We can do this with or without notice, and we don't owe an explanation for it. Nothing published here is guaranteed to stay published for any length of time.

Shop directory and phone number reveal

Shop listings are compiled from public sources, not submitted by the shops themselves unless claimed. Phone numbers shown are already public information; we gate them behind a "view number" step that asks for an email address, described fully in our privacy policy. Using that feature means you agree to that data collection. We make no warranty that any shop's details, including whether it's still open, are current or accurate. If a listing is wrong or you want it removed, use the contact page — we handle removal requests manually and won't publish contact details you ask us to take down.

Acceptable use

Don't post false information, don't impersonate a business you don't represent, and don't use the board or submission forms to send spam, scrape data at scale, or interfere with the site. We block repeat abusers.

No liability

Use of this site is at your own risk. To the extent the law allows it, we are not liable for any loss or dispute arising from your use of the site, your reliance on a rate or listing, or a transaction with another user or a shop found here.

If something looks wrong

Tell us. See the contact page. We'd rather fix a wrong number or take down a bad listing than leave it up.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes; the date above reflects the latest revision.
